
It’s been a long time with no updates. We mentioned the reason in our Dev update #3, but for the unawares, here is a summary :
For all this time, we focused our efforts cleaning old pieces of the game that caused issues and did a lot of internal work, which resulted in the project being in an unstable open state, that made us unable to push any updates.
This update is simply the result of some of these internal changes, without a very noticeable impact. We are sharing more of the technical details in our Dev update #4 (post later today).
Most of these changes should make the game more stable, but could also bring new bugs, so make sure to report them in the dedicated section on our Discord server !
Because of this, we made a brand new bug report channel, to ensure there is no overlap.
ENGINE UPDATE
Updated the game from Unreal Engine 5.2 to 5.5. This should fix certain crashes and bugs, caused by previously experimental features.
RENDER AND OPTIMISATION
We updated the general render, lighting and surface treatment across the map, alongside optimization that should result in a noticeable FPS increase for most machines.
COLLISIONS
Reviewed collisions in the entire map, to fix most bugged and unfair hiding spots.
CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS
Removed Christmas decoration (yes, finally).
